Cns Timer
Conservative Timing System Using the S&P 500 Index & Rydex Nova Fund for Comparison
For Conservative Mutual Fund Investors - Cns Timer is our conservative market timing system. While still using the Fibonacci support and resistance levels to locate
changes in market direction, this system only issues a buy signal when extremes of selling and pessimism have pushed all of our indicators to
their maximum readings, "and a reversal has been verified." Thus the odds highly favor a continued move to the upside.
Our sell signals come when complacency sets in, resistance levels are tested, and hold, thus signaling it is time to protect profits.
The Cns Timer makes changes infrequently. In fact, only 14 Buy and Sell signals have been issued in the past
five years. This makes this timing system perfect for those who are members of fund families that discourage frequent trading
or have rules governing the number of trades.
On average, the Cns Timer was safely in cash (money market funds), about
50% of the time. Protection of capital is our number one rule.
Subscribers Weekly Reports cover timing signals with the following index funds and Indices. The Cns Timer does not go short (bear funds) and looks for long term "up" trends in the market:
Rydex Nova Fund RYNVX * S&P 500 Index fund
S&P 500 Index SPX
Subscribers also use ProFunds and other OTC or S&P Index Funds.
Cns Timer History December 31, 1997 - December 31, 2002
Note: Cns Timer is a very conservative "trading" strategy, and accordingly, results should be measured over time frames of at least 1 year. Below are real-time
results in 1 year time frames, updated through December 31, 2002. Cns Timer trades "trends." Over any fair time frame,
Cns Timer has consistently beaten the market and protected capital for long term investors.
During one of the worst bear markets in history, and possibly the worst since the 1930's, Cns Timer has consistently gained
on a year to year basis, and more importantly, has protected capital for its subscribers (a lesson learned the hard way by most investors these past few years).
While buy-and-hold investors are sustaining losses that
have decimated retirement and trading accounts alike, Cns Timer has beaten the bear, and created capital for its subscribers.
